See that silver thing with the reservoir attached to the black thing (Brake Booster) that says "95 AI" on it? That's your Brake Master Cylinder

I just put a rebuilt one in mine. It's pretty easy to do, put a rag under your master cylinder and be careful not to get brake fluid on your paint beause it will eat right though it. Take a syringe and suck the fluid out of the resiovur, then unbolt your brake lines (use a line wrech so you don't strip them). Then all you have to do is unbolt the master cylinder from the booster (the black thing) and put the new one back in. The brake lines use a real low torque so don't wrench on them real hard when you put them back on (important). refill your resivor and bleed your brakes. It took me about 30 minutes to do, bleeding took about an hour though. If you don't know how to bleed just ask

you milages seems a little low for the master cylinder to go out. You should start with bleeding your system. I think you mechanic is giving you ****.

I would def. bleed the brakes first. Also, check the amount of material left on your pads and the condition of the rotors. Always look at the small stuff before replacing the big stuff.

bleed your entire system first buy two of the large containers and dont worry about the fluid. i had the same problem when i upgraded and i had air in the line and it took about 1 minute of draining the drivers side rear line to get the air out. like i said get two bottles and flush it out good...it will save you time and $

I bleed the brakes already. I also check brake pads. Everything is good. Is there anything else I should check.
Do you guys think it is master cylinder. What happens if your master cylinder is bad?

you could check the brake booster, valve (the one that's on the vacume line) if it's bad it will make your brakes go out from time to time.

I don't think that it work on EKs but whatever. He is already running 15/16 master cylider, which is the same as part number as 99-00 SI so the only upgrade is a ctr or itr 1 inch.

also check to see if you are getting pressure where the brake line connects to the caliper. could have some restriction some where. easy to check if your going to end up bleeding the brakes again.
