Master Clutch Cylinder- Canada Model
This should be an easy one for somebody. I want to replace the master clutch cylinder on my 98 civic. It was built in Canada. The only master cylinder available at advance auto said models "except canada". The staff didn't know anything about it. Are they refering to cars sold in canada as candian models or ones built there. The cylinder looks just like the one I have in the car now. Lots of parts website don't mention anything about origin of the car etc. What is the best way to keep it all straight and to always get the right parts?

all '96 - '00 civic master cylinders should be the same, actually '92 - '95 civic and '94 - '01 Integra should be identical as well. I don't know why their info would say that. You should be safe with whatever you order.

Re: Master Clutch Cylinder- Canada Model
I have run into problems with the clutch masters on that generation civic. The flair nut that threads into the master comes in two different sizes. If I remenber correctly one has a nut for a 10mm wrench and the other is 12mm. The size of the hole the pipe goes into is reflected in the sixe of the fitting. Big hole big fitting, Small hole small fitting.
