Maryland: Stolen 93 Civic coupe....
There I was in my garage (with the garage door closed) cleaning up a mess when I heard a car with an exhaust outside (it was about 12:45am). It sounded like one of my friends car's that had just went by (There are always cars around the neighborhood that come by with exhausts). I heard it go away from my house...then I heard it a little more and it came towards my house. IT SOUNDED JUST LIKE MY CAR!!!!! So I open the front door only to see my civic turning left out of my court!!!!! Without even thinking I ran to get the keys to my girl's camry and hopped in. I went after him....he wasn't that far ahead of me. Keep in mind the camry is running cold cause it hadn't been driven for about 6 hours by this time.....its a 4 cylinder at that...but anyways.....I could see the taillights of my civic down the hill. I come to a point where I have to make a left or a right...I guessed left. No luck. The car vanished into the night. I turned back around and went by a 7 11 right by my house and saw there was a cop sitting in his car. I drove up and asked him if he'd seen a black civic go by...and of course he says "I dont know I wasn't really paying attention". Worthless cops! All their good for is writing tickets.
Anyways...there's no real point to this story...just wanted to vent. If anyone in Maryland see's it ...its all black, license KES 424, dark tinted windows, Gunmetal 17" spoon 5 spoke knockoffs, N1 exhaust , and a black carbon fiber hood...
To the thieves:
Why in the world did you steal a car as crappy as mine? It was a SOHC EX that needed a paint job BAD, the front cross member is all f-ed up, the tranny is all messed up (throw-out bearing is bad, and the 3rd gear synchro is gone). YOU STOLE A LEMON. If you're gonna steal a car at least scope out a nice one. YOU DID ME A FAVOR!

Re: (xdjoynerx)
I failed to mention that the whole time i was trying to chase the guy I was on the phone with 911.... When I went up to the cop he said he had just heard the call......
911 is a joke..... I told them I'm following the guy and they expect me to slow down and tell them street names..... I think If I hadn't been on the phone with them I could have seen where he had gone. I was basically just in shock. Its one of those things that you think "That won't happen to me" when it does happen it feels weird, almost like you're in a dream or something.
Anyways...this sucks! I know they'll find the car tomorrow...with no rims, no exhaust, no hood. But its all good...when the crooks see how bad the car is mechanically, they'll ditch it.

I got the car back Saturday at 5pm. They took the 17" Rota Slipstream knockoffs, AEM intake, headunit, front speakers, shiftknob, axleback muffler (but they didn't take the rest of the N1 piping...??? go figure), carbon fiber hood.....and left it on the rotors. They even took my damn windshield squirters WITH the tubing that goes to the squirters. Incredible.
I spent all of sunday rebuilding the car. it is all stock again ( and looks like ****. but at least i can drive it to work. I DONT HAVE A WORKING STEREO ANYMORE sucks...but dah well...its only a car.

Whoa...this hits a little too close to home. I live in MD too and have pretty much the exact same car. I guess...I'll be on the lookout for the parts they took.

Yes! They left the car sitting on the rotors...damaged both fenders. And the rear bumper was damaged when the tow truck driver tried to get the car on the flatbed.
