IGNITION CEL
Manufacturer Control Ignition System or Misfire
i pulled this code after a gsr swap into an ek. my question is is if i went from a MSD external coil back to stock coil would i be throwing this code because of the plugs? Im really not sure what plugs are in it right now (im at work) but id imagine they would be gapped differently from stock.
If this is not the case it is my wiring. Haynes does not have a decent wiring diagram of the ICM so i just took the hot wire (terminal C) and hooked it to the postitive of the ignition coil and i believe the black/yellow wire (terminal B) and hooked it to the negative because it seemed to be a tapped, grounded wire. My tach is working so i guess that wire is correctly wired (green?) can anyone verify this wiring or maybe send me a picture of theres with the cap and rotor off?
thanks!

My simple answer is MSD and other aftermarket igntions are not necessary, and most of the time are the root of misfires and general "engine runs shitty" issues.
If Erick's racing could run 10's all motor on a stock Honda ignition system then that's good enough for me.
I can't help you on the install/wiring for one because my shop won't install them, so I've never looked into them. Sorry man.
