manual transmission filter ?
i am swapping out my y7 for a y8 trans because the axle bearings are shot and i was wondering is there a trans filter i should be changing ? and where is it located ?

For those that are interested, here's some pics of the stock magnet

As you can see, the stock magnet does an awesome job grabbing the particles. Oddly enough, you can see in the 'squares' in the second pic, there's only magnet. in the older trans honda placed a magnet in each of these 'squares' But in the newer ones, they just have one magnet (like in the pic) Honda must have found that one magnet was sufficient enough.

You better watch out with those broad, generic statements. Some of us just LOVE proving people wrong.
84-88 'vettes had manual transmission filters, as do 35-05 Scout IIs, Travelalls, Travelettes, Pickups, Scout II Diesel, and Metros
