Default Manual Tranny Oil???

Car - 92 Honda Civic DX but has a D16Z6 for a heart... its the Z6 tranny as well...

I wanted to know what type of Tranny oil would be the best to use... I take my car to 7200 RPMs everyday, so i wanted to know which one protects best...

Also at the Discount Auto parts when i did my swap they told me use reg 10w-40 oil... I found it weird but beeen using that since febuary... Would that POS oil cause grinds when I shift at high RPMs... I swear every gear grinds if I shift it pass 5000 rpms... (or could it be my tranny is screwed, I learn to drive stick on this tranny when i did my auto to manual conversion)

Anyones opinion would be kool.... Oh yea I live in South Florida so its always hot, and even in the coldest temp it doesnt go below 50...

Honda Manual Transmission fluid!
MTF

Even if it is $4 a quart. You only need 2 and it's for 20,000 miles!

Why do anything else?

Since you high-reving all the time, you should look into getting some redline MTL. I also heard that the GM syncromesh is pretty good too.

After changing the Tranny oil and it still grinds, have your clutch checked and you may need new synchros. Have fun!

checking your syncros can get pricey also....because it involves opening up the transmission which means down time with the car
