Default NEED HELP!! mannual tranny cannot shift into gear

i brought my d16 del sol to a shop to weld the shift linkage (the bracket spot was tore and cutted, so the only way to secure it was weld it). But right after the shop weld it, i cannot shift into the gear while the engine is running. after it is off, it shifts fine? what happened? i drove to the shop fine.

the shop welded the shift linkage of this part looks like --<>------------

Check your tranny fluid. Perhaps the shop drained it for some reason and forgot to fill it.

Either way, take it to the shop and tell them they fucked up your car and it's their fault.

Try adjusting the clutch master cylinder rod. You gotta remove the rod from the clutch and then spin it counter clockwise(if you are lookng at it towards the front of the car) and then tighten the nut and try using the clutch.

make sure your clutch master cylinder has fluid in it. If you can shift with the car off, it's probably not the linkage.

You might have just co-incidentally picked up a leak in the clutch lines or maybe your slave cylinder is messed up. Check the fluid level in the master cylinder. Make sure its good. If it's not, then find the leak. Replace or fix where it's leaking.

but i can feel the pressure on the pedal. it is not stuck...so in that case, it is still leaking fluid?

and where is the clutch master cylinder rod?

master cylinder is located on the firewall on the driver's side. It's the smaller cup. Make sure there's fluid. If you cant see a problem there, dont waste time trying to fix it yourself...just take it to the trans shop. Why were they rewelding a linkage? Did you crash the car? Maybe you messed something else up INSIDE the trans?

i am asking for the rod, i know where is the master cylinder. are you refering the rod that goes into the cabin? as far as my experience, the pedal should lose pressure if there is no fluid in there. i think what happened was the previous owner did auto to manual swap and messed up the body panel there, damn micky mouse

what happen was it drove the shop fine, but after they weld it in front of me, the tranny is having trouble to shift into gear while the engine is running. and it made some weird noise...
