Manifold Swap Problems. HELP!
My friend and i just got done putting a D16Z6 intake manifold on his '98 DX hatch with the Y7 in it. We unplugged everything, marked it, lengthened the wires (soldered properly) and replaced the manifold. While doing this, we used the Y7 throttle body because of the IACV that is 3 wire. The IACV from the Z6 is still on the back and is capped off so nothing can get in. Used the Y7 throttle body gasket, Z6 throttle rotor, and the Z6 rail with the Y7 injectors. Hook everything back up to corresponding ports and here is the problem.....We start the car, everything looks perfect (after checking over about a million times) and the car cranks, and immediately dies. Try again thinking it could be fuel issue, does the exact same thing. Thinking it was the MAP and TPS in the wrong spots so i switch them and it's worse....put them back to original spots and it seemed better. We still can't get this thing to work. ANY help would be great!

Re: Manifold Swap Problems. HELP! (hatchi)
does the Y7 use cold idle start valves? You might wanna check into the little holes above the intake inlets on the head. If those are leaking or not fully plugged, that will do it.
