Default Making plans for my Civic

Hey guys,
After my last post I have a pretty good idea what I want to do now. I just bought my cold air intake, my first mod, and next plan go buy an exhaust. Since I am still new, I was wondering what exhaust is a good buy. I am planning to buy in December so I have a budget of about $500 for the exhaust. Just tell me the names of the brands to avoid, and I will be very happy.

Apexi N1 would be in your price range. I would also recommend the Thermal R&D, but it is a bit more $$$.

They do make them for Honda's but for some reason not as popular as say Apexi, Greddy, or Thermal. Maybe it's because import car owners want something specific to their market and not made for both domestics and imports.

I run the Greddy PE, and my neighbor runs the Thermal 3"

Both are good exhausts...the thermal edges it out though.

Going along with what has been said so far, Thermal is good.

If you want a sleeper and want it to be fairly quiet, the Apexi World Sport is very good.

Only do that if you have a turbo, otherwise you stand a good chance of getting your *** busted by the cops.

I second that, not a good way to be inconspicuous.

Good brands:

Thermal
Greddy
A'PEXi
5Zigen
HKS
Tanabe
DC Sports

The list goes on. Stay away from Pacesetter.

Thermal and Greddy are quieter. Everything else is louder .

TheFLY, what kind of sound does the Thermal put out? Is it a rumble, a whine, a buzz or something else? I've never heard one...

hey i have a thermal, best exhaust i have ever seen. but it is loud. that is the only downfall. there is a stelth kit for it now that will make it quiter not shure if it will cut the hp rating on it though.
i say go for the thermal, but if the cops around your area are not cool. then i would look at the tanabe hyper medalian. looks vey nice, good power and is quit.
