Default Making dohc zc obd2

Heres my dilema, my y7 is on its way out in my 96 civic and i live in jeresy with emissions laws. I want a dohc engine but i recently bought a tranny, hoses, mounts, headers, and axles and other things for my y7 engine so thats keeping me from going b series. I have a good deal on an obd1 dohc zc with 40k miles for 350$. My question is, car needs inspction in 4 months, how do i go about making the engine obd2 if possible. Like what sensors, ecu, or even injectors i might need. Also dont care if its alot of work, beats paying more money. Ive also searched and couldn't find anything on this

I believe if you treat it as a general OBD1-OBD2 conversion engine-wise, there isn't really anything drastically different. With regards to the distributor, I'm almost positive that there's no difference in the wires themselves so it's just a matter of repinning to the OBD2A style distributor plug. Also I think there's a crank trigger you'd need to address, I don't know if it's something you can rig up or if you have to swap the crank gear, oil pump, pick up, and possibly oil pan over from your existing engine. Hopefully someone else can clarify if there's any other differences.

Probably a knock sensor you'll have to add as well. The block might have the provision for it but not threaded. There's other ways around that too but first might need to make sure you even need it (sorry, none of my cars are newer than 94).
