major transmission problem - need help

Default major transmission problem - need help

i just put in a new tranny in my d16a (sohc vtec) del sol from a (d16y7?) sohc non-vtec motor everything from the swap was a mess but now i have everything in order bolts on, axles in, suspension in place, clutch bled, you name it... now when i get in my car and i have it in neutral with the motor running i can shift between gears and when i put it in any gear, and let the clutch out, nothing happens!!!

someone please help

This is important to check, i think your axles popped out of your transmission. I am positive that you put them in right. But when you torqued them down i bet they popped out. Go to your car and physically check them. If they are out use a rubber mallet to hit them in. I will be waiting here for an answer so let me know.

wow i have never seen a axle pop out of a transmission from tightend the axle nuts.but their is the possiablity of 1 the axle did not seat and lock in the diff or the clutch dish is in backwards.

im worried about the clutch disk i dont really remember which way i put it in... i believe i put it in with the rasied part (the step) facing toward the passenger side... but im gonna look at my axle and if its out ill hit it in

Still pretty sure its the axles, if you put your car and first like you are going to drive the speedometer will increase with no increase in vehicle speed. That is what happened to me before.

yes very well could be since the engine is running and zero movement.

omg im a ******* a dumb *** the axle popped out when i was putting my suspension back together, thank you guys so much i woulda spent a billion dollars towing it and having it looked at by a "pro" i really appreciate it

yeah i shoulda seen that though this is my first time doing a tranny swap and i didnt have anyone helping me except my haynes manual so its been a week and a half of non-stop worrying and finding rides it just feels good to have it all over and done with! but i really appreciate the input there tend to be quite a few ******** on this forum that love to make people feel retarded because they're "know-it-alls"

Dude don't worry i was with my friend the second time putting my tranny in because the first one cracked, anyways, got everything in really happy got in the car gassed and let go of the clutch nothing , i went into a super rage and started throwing **** because the dam job took like 1 day, anyways my friend was just there laughing, and i said to him why is this funny he said i forgot to put the axle in so yeah it happens to everyone don't worry
