Maintenence required light
Ok so my 99 civic lx got a little little under the speedometer, it went from green toyellow to red. Now i know that it means that u exceeded 7500 miles since the last time i had it in the shop. But i would like to reset it, i know you can use ur starter key and put it in that spot and push the button to reset but it didnt work. My question is do i need to push it harder? I just dont want to break anything on this.

Yea, push until it flips back to green. It's nothing important to the car in the sense of it being an actual warning like the check engine light, but rather just a reminder for tune ups/oil changes / general maintenance.
Make sure your pushing straight on it with your key, not from an angle.
