maintanance required warning???
my friend has a 00' civic EX and the "maintanance required" light turned red. is there something we can do to find out the problem? or we would have to bring it to a shop??? the engine feels fine and doesn't seem like anything is wrong with it and he just recently changed his oil. so we don't know what could be causing that problem...the engine only has 40k on it too

Just reset it and go on about your business. That is Honda's way of saying they need you to bring the car in and let them charge you an arm and a leg to look it over and give you the thumbs up. I wouldn't worry about doing anything but oil changes until 60k. Stick your key in that little slot to the left and reset it to green.

Dont even worry about it. If he keeps up on the preventative maint. then its not a problem.

Exactly what he said. It's not a check engine light bro, you're ok.
