I have a B16 with a greddy turbo setup.. Now how in what way do I maintain a daily driven turbo car as to maintain a vehical w/out turbo...

when you park or something where youll turn off the car leave the car on idle for a while so the oil cooling the bearings wont be hot
and i dont know anymore then that so go ask greddy's tech department

dont drive it like you stole it. get a turbo timer or when your going to turn it of for a hour or so more let it idle about 1-3 minutes before you shut if. check oil all the time. change oil frequently. make sure you have cold enough plugs. 1 more think make sure u always run 93 or higher octane.

I have a turbo timer and it's set to 3mins to cool down. But other than that just check the oil and run cooler plugs. What type of plugs can you use to have a cooler plug. And i always run 93 octane

go to autozone and tell them you want NGK colder plugs, or just find a local tuner shop and they will have them. I have that same greddy kit sitting on my floor because i didnt watch my oil level. Spun 3 rods bearings. Get an oil pressure gauge and check it every time you get gas.

the ngk bkr7e's are the same as a regualr plug except there 1 step colder. just go somewhere and tell them u want 4 bkr7e spark plugs. u might have to look around to find them. i know i went to like 4 places before i found somwhere that had them.

3 minutes is overly excessive. 1 minute tops to idle before shutting off... 30 seconds is fine if you use synthetic oil and you do regular oil changes every 3k. 3 minutes is just a waste of gas. Maybe 1 minute and half if you're racing around heavy all the time.

i do 3 minutes on my turbo and seems to be working very well i been doing it for a year now no problems

2 1/5 long distance trips, other wise 1 and 15 seconds... or just set it to auto if you have that option... and another thing i recommend but i dont anyone has mentioned, when changing oil, you can drain it pretty dry that you lose oil pressure in your oil feed lines and return, therefore unplug the fuel pump fuse and crank a couple times to get new oil recirculating before running engine.... usually in factory turbo-ed cars they have the oil filter facing up, as in the part of the oil filter where it screws on look up towards the sky, so you can fill the oil filter with oil before putting it in, to already have oil in the filter and circulate better and faster.... or you can unplug your dizzy.. hope all that makes sense
