Main Fuel Relay Question

Hey guys, to start, I replaced my mfr about two months ago, albeit it was an ebay one. Anyway, this is my problem. My car cranks up fine if it's the first crank of the day, but soon after I start to drive the car, maybe 5-10 minutes later, the car starts to sputter and dies. After it dies, it takes about 10 attempts to hear the fuel pump prime again and for the car to crank. I know a hot interior sometimes causes this, but my car has been parked in my school's parking garage all day, and this just happened around 8 p.m. Is this just another standard bad mfr case? Thanks guys.

Re: Main Fuel Relay Question

Resolder the main relay and clean/tighten the G101 ground on the thermostat housing. If the problem persists, swap in a known good ECU.

Sorry for the noob question, but on an obd1 b16, is the thermostat roughly located in front, or behind the dizzy in relation to an overhead view? Here's my bay.

Re: Main Fuel Relay Question

yes the thermostat housing is basically located in the same spot any 4-cylinder Honda motor. It should have 2 bigger coolant hoses with a couple smaller hoses on it as well. the ground should be on the back side of it( the one closer to the firewall) right under the housing bolts.
