Depends on your preference, I have a magnaflow catback on my car now ( which is auto) sounds like ***. If you have an auto don't get the magnaflow. Nice muffler if you have a 5spd. Not a fan of mufflers no more though, I rather have stock, with a nice tip

Trannies now alter exhaust tone? Please expand on this.....

Mine should be here by Friday. I'm pumped. I will keep you posted.
Also, search for the sound clip that Twisted Si (I think) posted.

My Magnaflow is reeeeal nice. A low deep sound... but its enough sound for you to know and others to know that you have a performance muffler back there. But the sound is in no way intrusive and on long trips you dont notice.

Its a low tone exhaust with a really nice sound. Guaranteed you wont be disapointed.

Disregard that entire post please, everything in it is false.

Stock muffler with a nice tip? Quit while you are ahead. APC just called, they want their style back

The sound of autos with exhaust sounds weird because all you hear is just a straight sound.

Loudness wise the magnaflow is like the thermal 2.25in. Sound wise its a little raspy but not to much

I love mine in every way. Full stainless, perfect fit and finish, couldn't be happier in any way. Not to mention $100-$200 cheaper than many other brands that promise false gains.

Check out the sound clips in my sig and you will hear what it sounds like on my 99 SI.

Magnaflow is one of the better setups out there. I have a full cat on my coupe and it sounds awesome. Compared to all the N1's and the straight pipes around here i think my magnaflow sounds the best (imo)

Do you remember what the seller name is on ebay that you got the cat-back from? How long ago was this?

Just ordered a 2.5" in/out, center/center, ss universal for my 2.5" catback. Hopefully it'll solve the sound issue.

I just think the magnaflow sounds bad on a auto, the tone doesn't sound as good as it does on a 5speed, thats just my opinion though.

Did I say I like APC style tips? quit assuming what I like. How is my entire post a disregard?
All I said was that the magnaflow sounds bad on a auto, and I don't like the sound of a aftermarket exhaust because it gets annoying overtime.

All I did was trying to help someone and get flamed

The shifting points.. The auto shifts right away without a pause and it makes the magnaflow sound bad? Thats my 2cents
