if that's the case, then brakes have nothing to do with that. you can still use your lx front end brakes.

Yes I am sure, only the EX and Si had the front big brakes. Unless there is a special LX I didn't know about.

Only the LX sedan ABS automatic shared the same size brakes as the EX (10.3") as far as I know... You should visually be able to tell if they're the same comparing the caliper brakets and rotor size between the two...
EX caliper would look similar to this:
LX caliper would look something like this:
Since you're trying to put the best of everything into your sedan, take the EX brakes while you have everything out, since it's only one extra ball joint to pop on the UCA and a flare nut to remove the brake line...
The EX non-abs should come with a 7/8" MC while the LX non-abs should come with a 13/16" MC... If you're planning on doing rear discs in the future, you might want to look into a 15/16" MC from a 96-98 EX ABS (automatic)...

It's pretty sporadic on Honda's part but the only one I can think of is the 96 LX...
It's like the rare stock equiped rear disc EX models...

1992-95 civic si (non abs) have 9.5' front brakes
1992-95 civic si (optional abs) have 10.3' front brakes
1992-95 civic lx sedan (non abs) have 9.5' front brakes
1992-95 civic lx sedan (optional abs) have 10.3' brakes
1992-95 civic ex (standard abs/optional abs) have 10.3' brakes
all other lower models 92-95 civic hatchback/coupe/sedan have 9.5' brakes.
10.3' brakes are the same size as 94-01 integra brakes (non-typeR models).

Well in that case the LX brakes are smaller than the EX brakes. Yes you can use a 99-00 Si MC, the BB is the same as a DX so don't bother replacing it.

My bad, does your current car have ABS? If yes then use EX MC, if not then use Si MC.

Well since your car did not come with ABS, you should go with the Si MC since it did not come with ABS either.

You can keep your stock one if you want. The problem with using a MC from a vehicle that had ABS are getting the brake lines to fit onto the MC. You either have to make your own lines or bend them to get them to fit.
I was simply suggesting that if you wanted to upgrade the MC, you can easily do so with an Si (EM1) MC.
