Default lug nut size for 03 civic ex

I will be rotating the wheels on my 03 civix ex this weekend and need to buy a deep socket for my torque wrench. What size of socket do I need to buy? Also, what is the recommended torque on the civics?

thanks..

Didn't the dealer give you a manual? Did you ever consider reading it?

This Civic is my daughter's car. She lives about an hour away from my house.

Thanks for joining, and feel free to ask Q's no matter how "simple" they might seem.

I concur that 19mm is the right size, and the torque spec is 79.6ft-lbs.

80ft-lbs. will suffice though.

Hey I applaud you actually using a torque wrench - most people jump on the spare tire lugwrench to tighten lugnuts.

Thanks..

I learned the importance of using a torque wrench when I started working on my own car. I drive a 2003 BMW 540 and these cars are very susceptible to wheel shimmy if the wheels are not torqued properly.

I'll take a stab:

BMW 540i with optional BBS wheels?

I'm mainly a Honda guy - correct me if I'm wrong.

You're right, except that I bought the BBS RS-GT rims separately last week.

So it's what, a 4.0L V8 making maybe 300hp-330hp or so?

And those wheels are bad-***.

Sometimes the answer isn't "buy a helms" the answer is simply the answer.

I have a 2003 540 automatic with the sport option. The sport option comes with the mtech front and rear bumpers, sport steering wheel, sport seats, 3.15 differential, not speed limited, sport suspension. All 6 speed models have the sport option.
