lubricating power window track?
I have power windows in my hatch, but it seems that the seals are older (it is a 92 hatch) and the windows slow down when rolling them up. I keep forgetting to ask the parts guy at honda, but does honda sell a kind of lube for the window track? I suppose I could replace all the seals if it came down to it, but lubing it would be cheaper and quicker.
Thanks in advance for any advice.

while you're on the topic of window tracks, got a question.
when the window is 1/2 way down, my window rattles like it's about to go flying off. it's a 93 eg. any way to give it more reinforcement? is it the seals?

Sorry, I've never seen that problem. The window seals are the only thing that puts pressure on the glass besides the window undercarriage. If you remove your door panel and the undercarriage holds the glass firmly in place, I would suspect seals next, or poorly fitting aftermarket replacement glass.

hmm..good point.. it's stock glass, but i just keep wondering why the glass looks to be wobbling.. maybe due to high winds... i dunno.....just seemed to move more left-to-right than new honda's. maybe the fact that it's 10 years old has something to do with it.

Maybe the glass came out of the window track or the track is bent or broken. They hold the glass pretty steady IMHO.

Go here:

Same topic was discussed, I still can't figure out what deal with my stripping is. I think its defective, I'm going to put the stock manual regulator back in and see if that makes a difference.

I used this silicone based spray that i bought at kragen and it work great. The only thing is that you have to use the spray every 3-4 months. But its kool as long as my window roll up fast.

cool thanks for all the advice. Next time I am at Honda, I'll ask if they have the silicon spray for sale. If not, or if its outrageous in price I'll go check out shucks.
