Default are LS/VTEC's reliable?

i'm lookin to buy an integra with this swap. i heard bad things about them. im goin to daily drive this car. would you guys recommend gettin this car?

All depends on how it was built.

Some are and some arent, if they did it right then yes it can be reliable. Need more info on the engine.

you have to take the chances and believe what he syas about the motor. i alwyas like doing it myself and knoe that it was done right

Unless you forgot to post eagle/crower/etc RODS in that list, then being reliable is relative. If you never take it past 7500, it should be like any other semi-built motor. The rods will want to spin the bearings, bend in half, or snap their bolts if you take it above 7500 every day.

And as fmr says, it also comes down to condition of the used items. IMO the majoriity of built blocks are piles of ****, esp if it wasn't done by a pro, and the owner is anything less than a fanatic about maintaining hit motor.
