A search would answer your question but here is my opinion from researching the archives of the all mighty honda-tech. LS VTEC is cool IF its built right. people slap em' together rev the **** out of it and it doesnt last long. I personally feel if your going to go LS VTEC and do it the correct way you might as well have just bought a b18c. ls/vtec = 1.8 vtec b18c = 1.8 vtec and the GSR is going to be more reliable. If you want a frankenstien motor do a b20 vtec. more displacement and vtec. b20's are just as cheap as ls longblocks, if not cheaper. There are some good sites that have nice photos and how tos on how to build a strong b20 vtec. I myself am debating if i want to boost my b16 or get a b20 longblock and do b20vtec.

Parts and install cost just as much as a turbo/supercharger kit does. Turbo/Supercharger = more bang for the buck.

yea but the b20 doesn't have as strong of a bottom end. ls motor's have the strongest bottome end

yeah, your right... but doing it the right way would be to build the b20 bottom end. The b20-vtec would be quicker than the lsvtec.

B20 vtecs can be fine and so can LSvtecs no prob with either here, if they are put together properly the will be great!

(ps: you live kinda close to me if you need someone to do the work for cheap hit me up on PM )

LOL. Yeah forgot about arp head studs!! Use them.

Do you already have the vtec head?

You should just boost the **** out of the ls motor. LS's love forced air. If you shop around for good deals i bet you could have a somewhat cheap custom turbo setup on your LS making way more power than the LS VTEC. LS turbo can be way more reliable than a LS VTEC.

so many options, its a tuff decision.

Do you think a T28 would be to small for my LS or should i go with a T3/t4?
