Default LS/VTEC TURBO HELP!!

I have a ls/vtec built and I just installed my peakboost turbo on it. I also installed the 450 cc injectors (2g eclipse). The car was running rich before i put on the turbo and now with the injectors it's probably running richer. I have an v-afc and have lower the fuel enrichment down to 30% but the car is still throwing blue smoke, and it won't go passed 3k rpms...sounds like a fuel problem...Any suggestions???

Umm, get a obd1 ecu and go to a dyno to get it tuned. Don't be stupid.

Exactly. Why spend all the time and money on the motor and then cut corners on one of the most important items - the tuning?

..hahaha
Yeah thats why you have them install it for you..or have one of your friends street tune for you.
no tune for lsvtec
for no tune for a turbo
and you get a for no tune for a lsvtec plus turbo.

Oh and those injectors are quite small depending on how much boost you will be running.

then get a chipped ecu to run crome or something like that. Vafc are crap. Was the motor running non turbo before or is this a fresh build. If its fresh it could be your motor.

Are your unning a resistor pack for the injectors. Are you sure everything is wired right?? Are all cylinders working???

The motor only has 15k miles on it with a compression of 9:0:1 (arias pistons) and titanium valves, etc...as far as the injectors one of them didn't have the rubber piece at the bottom of it..but i was told that didn't matter cause that's only for the spray pattern..

why would a built motor run rich unless you already have a ecu. you probably threw in the built motor on a stock p28 ecu. if you did then most likely you fried the piston rings. thats why you seeing the blue smoke. blue smoke is oil burning and if you were running rich it would be black

Get a tow to the shop, get your ecu chipped, and a get a dyno tune. You'll be set after that.

No need, he just needs a basemap so his ecu can handle the injectors. As long as he doesn't go into boost going to the tuner, he is good.

I thought he was running the VAFC-hack for engine management right now. I have AAA so tows are free for me, and it's just easier and quicker to have it towed, let the tuner worry about chipping the ECU and uninstalling the VAFC, but yeah, if he has a basemap, he can drive to the tuner. He can just put his old injectors in and drive to the tuner with a charge pipe pulled off if he wants to, but I wouldn't do that.

As long as you're driving very far, and you're not revving the car high, it can be done. A lot of stuff that people do on this board is pretty ridiculous to me, so sometimes I can't distinguish the bad ideas from the really bad ideas. All I know is that I wouldn't do it, nor would I recommend it, but it can be done, just like using dsm 450's on a VAFC hack can be done.
