Default Ls/Vtec, But not Vtec

Like the title says. Engine was just put back together and now there is no vtec. It worked before the engine was pulled apart.

Engine came out and the rings and bearings in it were replaced.

Any help would be greatly appriciated. Yes I searched and didnt get anything!

when the head was pulled did you clean the head at all?and if you did was the vtec syl pulled off?if you left the syl on while you cleaned the head the screen may be clogged, pull the syl back off and make sure it is all good to go,make sure you get that screen all cleaned out good and check other oil ports for trash.

yeah, if your wiring is properly conected and you doubled checked it it maight be your ECU but i maight be wrong.
But what i do when my car is makin noices or running weird i check the simple parts like the distributor and alternator and make sure you check your fuses. But tha's me....try it though and check it once more make sure everything is connected and bolted on right and tightly and get back at me to see how it turned out.
