Time is something that a lot of people forget to use. In the end, it will be worth it to take your time. My last build took two tear downs, rebuilds, and about two years time.

Alright that's Kool. My shop doesn't machine anything, we usually send it out to a shop to get machined. We rarely send anything out anyways. I'm taking my block to a shop my dad took his Camaro block too. He also gonna show me some pointers on p&p and some other things.

All sounds good, but when i built mine i also used an LS headgasket and i wld constantly over-heat.... went and bought a GSR head-gasket and it fixed it. So my 2 cents would be use a VTEC head-gasket.

I am not exactly sure what the differences are, but they are different gaskets as they have different part numbers. I would use a B18C or B16A head gasket.

Gonna be sweet for sure, can't wait to see outcome bro!!
On a side note, if anyone viewing this thread wants to know how to build a lsvtec, I have a pretty decent how-to write up on it! Pm me your email and I'll send it!

No intent on threadjacking op, just trying to share some info!

Very interested in this build. I just resurrected a 2000 Honda Civic SI that was in pieces and I want to to a B18c shortblock rebuild and swap. Your motor rebuild looks like a lot of fun, and someting you can be very proud of since you are doing the work, good luck I look forward to seeing you finish this.
