Re: ls vtec (chirp2hrd)
Well with standard bore (81mm) ctr pistons, a b18c head, b18a/b block, and stock head gasket, your compression will be 12.55:1...kinda high for a street setup but not absolutely impossible to run with the right fuel management and ignition timing. If you're curious about other setups check www.bojangs.com/calculator my friend Jim decided to break down and make a compression ratio calculator because he got tired of people asking what the compression would be on their setup. If you are going to do an ls/vtec no matter what piston you choose I would highly recommend running a .25 overbore piston, because when you tear apart the block a normal hone will sometimes not always do the job, plus you can't go wrong with a running a .25 larger bore piston. Just my $.02.
