Default LS-Turbo over heating problems

okay, i just got my car running after like 4 months...but now i got another problem...my car starts, runs, boost, but after driving around the block like 2 times, the temp gauge goes up super fast...i park my car, and open my hood..the motor is hot, the top of my radiator is hot, but the bottom is cold..WEIRD...and now my heater doesn't work too...just yesterday, i had to take out my radiator, and wash it out with hot water because i had water sitting in there and froze up...and then i filled it up with coolant....got my fan working...but still over heats.....any ideas????

first check the thermostat.... if that is ok...pressure check it and also make sure your fans work check the rad cap as well.....keep us posted could be other things but these are easy to check

OP said the rad is hot. If the thermostat wasn't opening the rad wouldn't be hot since the water is closed off and only circulating the block.

On the flipside, usually when you remove your rad extra debris goes into the thermostat and you have to change that too, so change the thermostat first, and then see what happens from there.

Sounds like a blockage - thermostat would create a blockage - check the thermostat first.

okay guys, i'll check on the thermostat...but one thing didn't mention...before i used my chip ecu, i borrow one of my friends ecu...the car ran okay, but it didn't over heat...and my heater works as well...could it be that i left my car outside and the water froze inside?????becuz all i did was wash out the ice in the radiator, and hoes only...and whats with the car reving up to 2,500 rpm and going down and goes up again..and keeps doing that??

Was the fan working before the fuel problem came into play?

check your main relay, tap it a couple times, if its that, the car should start right up, and if it does just get a new relay or a known working one
