LS Turbo Kit compatibility
Long story short, I was offered a turbo kit from the owner of a 4-door LS for $250. This consists of the Manifold which he says is from HKS a T28 (I assume) from a saab or something, BOV and Wastegate. I figure the manifold won't fit but the turbo, BOV and wastgate itself is worth more than 250 no? But if someone can clarify whether or not the manifold would fit that would be greatly appreciated.
This kit would be going on a 98 Ex Auto so I'm content with with the T28 since we're not looking to boost much or make more than 200hp since the auto tranny can't handle it. TIA.

i dont think the auto tranny can handle much more than stock, let alone 200whp. honda automatic trannies are VERY weak.
and no, a b-series manifold will not fit a d-series head.

Re: LS Turbo Kit compatibility (Street Ghost)
Yea, I pretty much figured that the manifold wouldn't fit but you never, there have been some odd honda combo's in the past. In any case, 250 sounds too good for this but then again the kid didn't seem like he cared on whether or not he took a loss.
I am aware that I would need more piping but I can buy piping from say KTeller and have it all custom routed and still come out below or a bit over $1000 no? I'll have to take a look at the kit and see, any tips on spotting whether or not the kit or specifically the turbo is in good condition or not?
And yea, I'm also aware that the honda tranny can't take much boost but I didn't plan on boosting that much and I've heard that 200hp is the most the tranny can take so that's what we were shooting for. Thanks again.

Re: LS Turbo Kit compatibility (Knightmare69)
Check the turbo for shaft play.
You are right on about the kit probably going to be about $1000. I bought my kit for 500, full kit minus IC piping and I needed a new manifold.
You'll also need a wideband (if you want to tune it yourself and do a descent job), EMS, fuel pump, injectors.
