yea it sucks ***..when i shift to second and third..rpm falls to 6k rpm..but when i'm in 5th gear goin around 80 mph..my rpm is at 3.5k rpm..so i'm assumin that it's a ls tranny..sucks ***** for my b16a2..

b16 w/ ls tranny sucks. the gears are to long. i have this set-up so i can speak from experince. the only thing an ls tranny is good for is highway crusing, its keeps your rpm's low which keeps your exhaust quiet and gives you better mileage

Not too sure that it would change the pitch of vtec, but it surely would change the acceleration in and out of vtec. You should notice a big difference in acceleration once vtec hits, and I'm assuming that the tranny is this to not be the case.

because ricer's typically associate more noise with more power
as long as it works, who cares?
