LS swap question...headache and pain....
The civic is running really rich after the LS swap. The b18b motor is a obd2, and was recently swapped into my 2000 civic ex. I used a obd1 94 integra dizzy, obd1 ecu from a 92 teg. and everything plugged in perfectly. any solutions as to why it's running rich. I've been doing research for months and found nothing. Do I need to rewire anything?

Re: LS swap question (SkoundrelUSA)
my exhaust is smoking black..and it smells like gas. My spark plugs are fouled and inside my car seems to have this rich gas smell. The car also bogs a little when you try to gun it in gear. I've tried everything, but didn't check my timing yet. Cause we replaced the timing belt, before the motor was put in the chasis. Could it be the timing?

I had a simliar problem that had nothing to do with a swap. An O2 sensor was simply out of cal and lying to the ECU. It was telling the ECU it was lean until the car ran incredibly rich. It never set a CEL because as far as the ECU was concerned the mixture was OK. If it was still OBD2, you could hit it with a scanner and see what the O2 sensor was telling the ECU. That's how I diagnosed my problem.
Check your fuel pressure too.

It's been converted to Obd1. I guess I should invest in a adjustable fuel pressure regulator. Do you think a knockoff AFPR will work?

Did you match the colors on the dizzy when you repinned the dizzy? Or did you make a sub harness connector for it? An obd1 dizzy will not plug into the odb2 engine harness. Also check the pinouts on the 92-93 ecu to be the same as the 94-95 ls ecu pins just giving you a few options to check to make sure.

Body, I'm suggesting you CHECK the fuel pressure not throw money at a problem where you don't know what the problem is. Trouble-shooting, elimating things till you find the problem. I'd probably swap the O2 sensor with known good once and see if the symptoms change. O2 is mainly what controls mixture.
