Default ls swap now having wierd idle issue!

i just swaped a ls into my hatch and when the engine is warm and its been off for a while then i restart it while its still warm it idles good, but after i start driving it , it idles around 1100-1200 what could cause this. There is no cel's and it runs fine just idles a little high and i turned the idle screw all the way in it still idles around 900-1000

I think that's where it should IDLE. I got a EK right now stock and it idle from 800-1200 depending on the weather and how cold it is.

PS. how are you liking the LS motor? is it enough to drive and mess around? I just bought and LS and debating to see if I should put it in my car.

Your thoughts are incorrect. Factory idle should be at 750rpm +/- ~50rpm. I would check the throttle cable, sometimes a minor adjustment here can make a world of difference. If it isn't in the cable itself I would suggest purchasing a mount bracket for on top of the intake manifold. Sometimes a slight bend in those can throw idle way off. But if there is no CEL or MIL codes thrown your guess is as good as mine after that. Good Luck! HAPPY TUNING!!

I have a EG with a B18B LS motor in it. and i had a different idle problem that stemed from the Idle Air Control Valve. Might wanna look at that, and as for the LS being enough, I have had no complaints so far but am planning on Vtec for more highway kick. the torque is really nice off the line and the light weight EG hatch makes it pretty quick.

Try checking the throttle cable for poss binding. Also check your electrical connections and make sure they are right, especially on the coolant temp sensor and the IAC. If it were an IAC problem, you will most likely have a hunting/fluctuating idle, not a steady high idle. With the coolant temp sensor, if it's not connected properly, or at all, the car will be in permanent cold idle, and open loop operation.

could timing affect this my idle thats the only thing i can really think of. All of my connections are good and seem tight. it just idles around 1100 and it does flucuate somewhat mostly after u have given it gas

timing shouldn't bring your idle to 1100 from the stock 750. I would check the timing anyway and then replace the throttle cable. You can get a brand new throttle cable from your local Honda dealer for roughly $20. HAPPY TUNING!
