Ls swap into EK
Now I am sure many people have posted threads about this (feel free to direct me to some)
But I just need to know WHAT else I need with a complete 95 B18 motor and tranny to get it working in EK civic
Mounts, wiring, ect.
On a budget, just barely have enough for the motor.

Re: Ls swap into EK
And I guess I should say its a B18B1 (from a 95 integra)
Harness- What do I use, It sounds like you need to customize it...
ECU- Use the integras
Shift linkage-??
Rear mount- Where do most people get this? Junk yards? Online? and whats it gonna cost? about $50?
Thanks

Re: Ls swap into EK
I will be getting the axles and ecu along the motor and tranny.
Will the ecu be obd1? What is the jumper harnness?
How should I get the mounts and shift linkage? And what is a price estimate?
Why do some people say only a rear mount requires changing, while others say all?

Re: Ls swap into EK
And is it specific to only 99-00 si.
Or would a del sol b16 shift linkage also suffice?
And again where do people get these parts?

Re: Ls swap into EK
If my computer was workin i'd send u a link for the parts. They sell the mounts and stuff. Its like 40-50 bux for the mount. The other stuff idk. I got my shift linkage from an integra parts car.

Re: Ls swap into EK
Ive never heard of someone using the linkage from a sol. Not saying it wouldnt work, ive just never heard of it. My motor is obd2 so i dont have to worry about the conversion harness. U can google it.

Re: Ls swap into EK
BTW you can use the stock integra shift linkage if it comes with one. Also you can use the integ front tranny mount the si one isn't necessary. Actually the only 99-00 si mounts that you need would be the timing belt upper mount and the rear t-bracket. If you are wanting to keep ac and use your stock ac compressor you will need a crv ac bracket. So of the 5 mount you will use.
t-bracket, timing belt post mount-99-00 si
upper tranny mount-stock civic (they're all the same)
lower tranny mount-integ
ac bracket-crv if keeping ac integ if not
HTH

Re: Ls swap into EK
So If I use the original 94 Integra CPU( what is it called btw? ) in my 98 VTEC civic what modifications will I need to make to pass emissions and get everything working perfectly?
I looked at that link but it was difficult to identify everything.

Re: Ls swap into EK
I just read the howto and it said "to bust the myths" all mounts from the integra are used. The walkthrough was for a 92 Civic tho, is that the reason?
So I need to find a lot of mounts...

Re: Ls swap into EK
92-95 civics and itegras have the same chassis basically. for 96-00 civics...you have to use alot of of the 99-00 si stuff. like the rear t bracket. and i dont know **** about emissions...we dont have them here. lol

Re: Ls swap into EK
you dont need the harness...unless your current harness doesnt have a 4 wire oxygen sensor. other than that...just use an obd1 ecu with a jumper harness from obd2 to obd1. the rest seems right....but to be more specific-
ecu-obd1 LS ecu with jumper harness
axles-any b series axle (integra, 99-00 civic si)
shift linkage-99-00 civic si linkage
motor
tranny
and the rear mount from a 99-00 civic si
as well as...
all the mounts from a civic 99-00 si
i believe thats all...someone let me know if i forgot somethin.
