LS swap into 2000 DX Hatch exhaust/cat
I've searched and I can't find a clear answer on this issue. I'm swapping in a b18b1 into my 2000 dx hatch. I already know the stock exhaust will be too short and there will be a gap between the exhaust manifold and b pipe. What catalytic converter will I need to fill the gap? EX? LS? I've heard all different things and I need to know for sure before I do this.

Re: LS swap into 2000 DX Hatch exhaust/cat
LS cat converter but to be honest, take it to a muffler shop an they can fix it for you. Problem is the EX cat wont line up with the exhaust manifold so you'll have to get the LS cat but then the LS cat won't line up with your mid-pipe. That's when the exhaust shop comes in. So if you have a stock cat on your DX, use that and get the flanges re-welded to fit the exhaust manifold. Believe me, i've had 2 b-series swaps in my 98 EX coupe.
