Default Ls swap, which harness to use? OBD1 or OBD2?

We are swapping an LS B18 from a 96 Integra into my buddies 92 Civic. We have the OBD1 Ecu for the integra. But now we need the wiring harness which one should we get, the OBD1 harness from a 94-95 integra or the OBD2 from a 96+ integra?

Any help will be much appreciated!

Thanks alot!

-Charlie

OBD2a is fine since it will plug in with all sensors on the motor as well as the shock tower plugs on the Civic.

The DC and EG chassis utilize a two-piece harness while the EK uses a one-piece. The OBD1 ECU will work in your car since you are not replacing the piece that goes from the shock tower to the ECU. Instead you'll be replacing the engine harness that connects to the shock tower. It is plug and play.

But his civic harness doesnt work with most of the connections on the OBD2 motor.

Theres really no harness that would make your swap easy. Maybe an obd2a integra ls harness but there not always easy to find. Actually youre gonna need an integra harness either way in order to either A: change the plugs on the stock civic harness or B: try to install the integra harness on your civic.

Thats why we don't recommend doing swaps where the OBD of the motor is different than the chassis. It can be done its just more work and you gonna have to think things out and gain some understanding of the wiring. Personally I like these swaps but I love wiring.

the obd2 engine harness for the engine will plug and play into the civic shock tower. Then you just use a obd 1 ecu. If you want to use an obd 2 ecu, you will have to buy a obd 1-obd 2 harness.
