Default ls motor and o2 sensor

with the b18b1 motor, do you need an o2 sensor off of any particular model car, or does it just have to be 4 wire. becuase i put the si o2 sensor from my old engine into the ls motor and i still get a ecu code and i dont think that is is broken because it wasnt when i took it out?
