ls motor help

i just picked up an ls longblock...the only known problem is with the cam mount or something...u guys have any ideas on what my next step should be on fixin up this motor. i need to rebuild it but what should i start on? thanks in advance

ive heard that going vtec on these motors wont give me good reliability in the futurre...is that true?

how were fitment and wiring issues with that car?
