i like the LS motor. Very good set up. VTEC lovers might now like it much but its something to work with and if you wanted to have vtec in the longrun all you need is to do an ls/vtec and sky is the limit after that!

I'm just finished my LS swap in my ek.. nice low end.. and I mean nice ..
use to own a CRX b16.. and have to say low end is much better than the crx.. only thing that sucks is the low redline.. which I plan to change with a VTEC head.. I'd say before u put the LS engine in.. modify the wire harness for vtec.. I did it already and basically I can just throw on a VTEC ECU with head and of course a better tranny.. it's a good start off point.

i got a 98 Ls in my ek and i like it,...good low end like pandafreak said,...i like the torque(sometimes it spins my tires to much if i dont start right) im gonna go Ls/turbo with mine because of lower compression and what not,...i like Ls/vtec and all but its not reliable and plus im kinda partial to boosting(i like the big cheezy smile boost gives u aka the intercooler oh and i gots to have the blow off valve),...if i couldnt afford the turbo and wanted more power i would go Ls/vtec though,...and in the right car Ls/Vtec is a beast and any hatchback is the right car

i would go ls/vtec. i have that set up in my ek now and i love it. very reliable, just do it right. i would say get the ls block and run that while you get parts for the ls/vtec. then build from there. also, sell the ls tranny cause it is worth less if you want an n/a set up. buy a b16 or gsr tranny and run that with the ls motor. this is just my opinion though.
