Default ls head question

im trying to buy a b18b for my hatch. i have 2 offers on the table, one from a 94 and the other from a 97. ive noticed that they look different from each other. is it just the valve cover that is different or is more involved?

They should be the same. I've never heard of a ls head being different from another. But i do know that they made different valve covers.

they are the same, except for one being OBD1 and the pcv setup is a little different. obd1 has the black box on the back of the black versus obd2 having the pcv right in the valve cover.

go with whatever obd you have. save yourself some headache's.
