ls,gsr,or b16 bottem end
Im looking to buy a LS,GSR, or B16 bottem end to build up on the side.
going in a 99 civic SI,with my b16 head.
Im really looking for websites to read up on them,so if anyone can link websites with facts about them, would be nice, but id like some peoples opinions too.
Im looking for overall WHP,torque would be nice but id rather have the whp.
thanks

You're still not looking for horsepower. You're looking for PEAK power.
Horsepower is another measurement of torque.

Re: (Jax99SI)
Probably GSR. What do you mean by built, resleeved, pistons, headwork, etc?
LS's have strong bottom ends, but would require the vtec conversion kit for the B16 head. GSR's love to spin bearings, that's something to look out for.
And where is the B16 block out of the EM1?

I own a B16, and its' stock, not fully built. I replied based on my knowledge. Like every other H-T member would do, so that all in all you end up with enough knowledge to form your answer. Thanks for your suggestion, but I don't need it.
And as I said before, good luck on your build-to-be.

If you decided to go with the LS why even ask about the GSR? A block itself doesn't dictate power 100%, the internals and map compose it as well. If you already have a B16 head, why not go with the GSR? Sure, you could do an LS/VTEC, but they usually run into reliablity issues.
Search LS, GSR, B18B/C, etc.

I'm asking what happened to the block that you don't have it anymore or why you're not using it?
