Default ls block..

so i can get a bare ls block for 60 bucks that has a chip on one sleeve. my plans are to bore it out 83 or 84mm then re sleeve it and use it for boost and what not any ways.. wo would it be a good deal and work? also my original plans were to build this setup on a gsr block but i mean if i can get a ls block for this cheap should i jump on it?
pic of the chip.

if the rest of the block is in ok shape jump on that deal. you're gonna have to resleeve anyway with anything more than a 81.5mm bore.

If your going to resleeve it then it doesnt matter.. That is a chip on the sleeve lol. I really dont think its gonan matter a whole lot if you plan on keeping the stock sleeves either.

that chip will not alter anything; its part of the sleeve; correct. But its part of the water jacket; which does not alter anything.
