obx coilovers are going to give your car a nice bounce when you ride.

Umm, not if you use the proper dampers to control them . . .

he plans on using stock struts, so there is a pretty good chance for a nice bounce

I like a little bounce in the rear end, IF YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN. WINK WINK.

If you are running coilovers, worst you will have to do is re-adjust the height, cant hurt to try.

i like my 17's thats why i bought em, so obx's are bad? i know there not the best, but there also no priced nearly as much. I want to lower my car, but its not something i wanna spend a lot on, and i dont want to ruin my tires....so you guys think its a or a idea?

I can't argue with that. It's almost guaranteed . . . I don't know of any coilover sleeves (even street-stunna off-brands with poor-quality springs) with rates less than 300 lbs-in.

I missed the part where he mentioned stock dampers.

Well welcome to the world of suspension tuning.

Looks, ride quality. Choose one. Cost, performance. Choose one.

It depends on what you spend, what you get, and what you're looking to achieve.

If you use any stiffer aftermarket lowering springs (other than something with very soft rates like Tein S-Tech or Eibach Pro Kit) or coilover sleeves with stock dampers, then you're just asking for trouble.

I have 17's on my car now with skunk coilovers lowered about 3 - 3 1/2 from stock and there is no rubbing. Get coilovers people say you never adjust them etc... but then again some people never use their dicks either. I adjust mine all the time if I have to go far or take people in my car and dont want to bottom out all the time etc.. Look at my signature and you will see the pics of my car on 17's and how there is no wheel well gap.
