Default lowering questions

I just bought tokico illuminas and progress sport springs from a friend, he put like under 5K on em

today I put the front suspension on (with the help of my dads air tools), tommorow Im going to put the rear suspension on

my question is, the progress springs are said to lower the car about 2.3 inches-

how many fingers should that be between the wheel and the fender? Does the fact I have 13inch stock wheels/tires have anything to do with it? Im pretty sure it doesnt... as the tire diamter wont be chaning drastically

Im pretty sure it's around 3 fingers worth in the front now- about one inch lower

Will it have to settle in a little b4 going a bit lower? I've heard that when you take them off a car they start to expand some, when u put them back on, they will slowly lower again, at least thats what ive been told by a few friends

any answer is appreciated guys

ya the weight of the car will compress them... lol.

i have shitty suspension (dumb *** before me cut the springs) and i rock some old school no name 5 star 17's... low profile tho. so with that combo i have about 1/4 inch to 1/2 inch and i crushed the crap outta my fender.

point being... lower it.. drive it a bit.. if fine lower it some more.

cheers to beers.

either way....2.3" is not going to "slam" your car.

new springs need time to settle in. those are plenty broken in. i think what u have now is going to be as low as it gets.
