lowering my Sol question
ok guys, i am thinking of lowering my Del Sol, and i just have a few questions, and was just wondering about a few things.
first of all, im on sort of a budget, what in you guys' opinion are good springs?
then second: i am looking for good performance and good look, how many inches shall i go? 1.5? 2? 2.5? ofcourse i dont want my tires to rub.
third, does anyone have pictures of their/not their lowered Sol and how much its lowered so i can see what the different heights look like?
fourth: where in you guy's opinion is the beat place to order the lowering kit?
i dont think i really want a coilover set, more of just a regular springs/shock set, again, im on a budget.
by the way, i still have the stock Del Sol SI 14inch rims on my car (the 4 lug, 5 spoke ones) if that info is needed
thank you guys
Carlos

totally understand not wanting a coilover set. there are many good springs, from tein, nuespeed, to h&r and eibach.
if you are looking for a good sporty feel then i would suggest some nuespeeds race springs, maybe with a adjustable strut set, like KYB AGX's or KONI's.
if you want a comfortable close to stock ride but with the lowered look, tein with some KYB GR2's or some tokico blue's.
there many different setups, all depends on your vision for your car.
i have listed a couple of places online you can check out:

Re: lowering my Sol question (acidburn2k2)
um... what kind of budget are you on? coilovers would probably be the cheaper way, and would allow a more exact drop. Just off the top of my head, I could be completely off but, a good shock/spring combo would put you up in the $500 range if you can put it on yourself.
But definitly with brands like Tokico, Tien, Koni, and H&R you can almost never go wrong.
BTW the next question you should be thinking is What are you going to do about your camber?

Re: (vtec4lyfe)
I went cheap on my del sol with suspension and now im saving for full coilovers.
I bought skunk2 coilovers, and tokico blue struts and i hate it
Id save up a few extra dollars and buy something nice.
