lowering my EX?
im thinkin about lowering my 97 EX. if i only lower it like, 1.5" could i get away with ridin' on the stock struts? if i cant, what parts should i replace? what brands? what sites should i buy from?
my main reason for lowering my car would be because it looks better, not so much for the performance so should i go for lowering springs or coilovers? [i know everyone will say coilovers] and im lookin for somethin that is more on the not so expensive side. im 17 and dont have that much money

if your just trying to get rid of the wheel gap or slam it to the ground? theres a lot of little problems youll run in to either way
1. bad camber ruining your tires
2. rear lower control arm bolts breaking
i would say get a subtle drop like some tein springs off ebay, it will get rid of the wheel gap but leave it high enough that it is still drivable. as for the bad camber, get a camber kit, and the RLC arm bolts, you will need to replace the bushings which are about $25 each, so i would say just pay the $100 for aftermarket rlc arms with all new bushings in it. and you can get away with stock struts, i have for three years. but only if theyre in good shape. hope this helps.

so youre saying go with some tein springs with a camber kit and full RLC arms?
what do you consider a subtle drop?

Re: (EK_B)
any name brand coilovers .... and like EK said , if you go to a good allignment shop they should still be able to get it very close to spec without a camber kit. BUT camber kit would be the right way. And yes i do understand about the money. Or maybe just try to save up for a bit, then you can do the whole thing the right way as suggested above and have no need to worry once it is done. Your choice bud, but best of luck.
