First off, thanks to everyone who helped me out about the Tein lowering springs. One more question, is 1.8in in the front and 1.7 in the back a good height to drop my 95 del sol? Thanks

If depends on if you like the way it looks. It is really up to you, but IMO I wouldn't go any lower than that.

Word.

It's basically your preference on how low you want to go. It also depends on what kind of goals you have...shows? Drag setup? Street driven?

All these factors come into play when you're looking to lower the car. For example, you dont want to be THAT low at all when running at the track...you just need a slight drop w/ some stiff shocks in the rear.

If you're bringing this bad boy to shows (which is stupid IMO), I would slam the **** out of it.

I used to ask these same kind of questions before I got my setup on my coupe but the thing is...there is no such thing as lower your car exactly 1.8 in the front and 1.7 in the rear. The only thing you can do is take a measurement of how high your car sits the way it is stock right now and then measure how high it is after you get your new coilovers installed. If theyre springs only though and its not adjustable then yeah just go with whatever height it says it will lower your car closest to what you want. Other than that though, its going to sit a little bit different on every corner of your car because the corner weight is different on every corner. For example the front driver side may be sitting 1/4" lower than your front passenger side especially with you sitting in it. Anyway I way overtalked this thread my bad.

If you're lowering a car for looks, I think you should re-evaluate that. I didn't lower my car for looks, although that was a bonus. I did a lot of research and wanted a really strong ride quality/handling. I chose Ground Control coilovers and Tokico Illumina shocks.

Eibach ground controls with kyb agx shocks here, awesome looks and beautiful ride quality. I dont even go by height anymore I just go by looks and feel without dunking it. Less then a finder gap between the tire and fender but I also have a front camber kit adjusted to it.

my car is dropped 2.0" in the front and 1.75" in the rear with neuspeed race springs for a gsr ( on 13's for now )

idk i dont think that that sol looks lowered at all. i went with f2s. they are fully adj coilovers. that way if you end up going lower in the future you can. they are reasonably priced.

well its 2inches
.. dude its on 13's !!!! thats why when its on flat level ground it get really close to tucking the front as is. here is a pic of it stock hight with 17's-

and just for your referance even though the 17's have the low pros on them they are about 1.25 inches taller next to eachother.

This setup or TEIN coilovers would be the ONLY coilovers id ever run on a honda.

Im sure all you guys have your different opinions, but i think hondas ride like **** on coilovers.

Umm...ive ridden on quite a few, and I just dont think they ride nearly as good as springs....sorry bud.

to true!!! i made the mistake of using the skunk2 sleeve type coilovers with kyb agx 4ways (the kybs are top a line i understand) on my old b16 swaped 91 ef hatch and its 110% ****!! lets just say if i was to hit a pot hole at anymore than 20mph the rear on ether side or both sometimes would over extend the strut and when it would drop back to reseat the spring from its often .25" gap!!! it would be so loud inside that gutted, sound deadening less tin can.

on the other hand my friend has the 36 way adjustables on his ls 92 eg hatch cx and it rides smoth *** ****!! i now am just using like hand me down neuspeed race springs and kyb gr2s in the front and saving up for the agx 8 ways for the rear and ill be done KYB OWNS!!!
