lowered H22 EG's
ok I'm currently using the HCP kit and I have the car lowered about 2". Now I think that the center shaft on the axles are binding with the outer axle cups(rubs as suspention compresses)anybody ever use 88-89 axles instead of the 90-93? when I had the stock suspention on it never rubbed but now lowered it does. also anybody have any pics of lowered eg's w/h22?

Is that on the passenger side or driver side..?? And I think you only use the 89 and older axles if you are using a prelude intermediate shaft. So that will probably not help in your situation. Don't quote me on it though..

I use 88 teg with lude int shaft. I`m lowered about 1.8 in the front. The axle knock a little bit when I turn really hard or take hole in the road I think I should put stock OEM shock to resolve the problem or found a shorter axle

Re: lowered H22 EG's (Civic Rs)
alright I fixed the problem, I replaced the driver side axle with a shoter 89 TEG axle. the acceleration vibration is not nearly as bad as it was and all the funny noises and knocking are gone. My car is only lowered about 2" I'm afraid to go any lower cause of the axle angle but the car feels so much better now.

Are you sure. To my general understand it is the prelude intermediate shaft that has a male end causing you to use a female type axle and the Accord one has a female end in which you use a male/male axle.. So again do you know what setup you are currently using? And is the integra axle male/male as well??

accord halfshaft=1 male end & 1 female end.
teg axles= both end are male.
I guess your right, I'm using the accord shaft and teg axles.

Okay kewl that is what I thought. So you swapped a set of 90-93 driver's side axles for a 89 and it fixed your rubbing issues??
And I have a similar setup with skunk 2 coils and AGX struts. However I am using DSS Stage 3 axles. Maybe overkill but I got them a good price and the quality is magnificent.
