If you get LCA's make sure you get a subframe brace/tie bar so you dont get subframe tearout

tie bars do nothing for tearout and cant even get it without a giant sway.

Aftermarket front LCA's are just for the bling factor pretty much. If you're going to road race or auto cross I suggest you don't get one.
Just stick to a brand new OEM lca if you decide yours suck. lol.

Yeah I dont know what I was thinkin, tie bars dont do anything to help from tearout.. You should get an ASR brace tho to help prevent it. Those Beaks subframe reinforcement kits dont work either.

The OP was asking if changing out the LCAs (alone) will make a difference, and the consensus is NO. Installing aftermarket LCAs won't make a difference UNLESS you're also going to install a big aftermarket sway bar (CXs don't come with the mounting holes for any sway bar). I wouldn't change the LCAs unless you're planning on doing the sway bar as well. If you decide to swap out the LCAs, you could just get some from an Civic EX 4-door or an Integra and use the sway bar designed for those. If you go with a thicker bar (like a Type-R), you'll definitely need that sub-frame reinforcement kit. Also, if you get a thick aftermarket bar, (like a BLOX) you'll need aftermarket LCAs.

There's always the "unbling" option for racers (matte black teflon coat):

This is a custom service that we've always offered for race/rally customers. You can custom order them with the coating, or if you send your arms in, together with return shipping, we will apply the coating. We do not charge for this service, but please contact us ahead of timeif you plan on sending your arms back to us.

Can you use a Lower Tie Bar along with a Sub-Frame Brace, or does the Sub-Framce Brace null out the Tie Bar?

I had to take my tie bar out when I put my subframe brace in. Having both on would have been overkill.

I got matte black blox control arms and a matte black ASR brace...nice and stealth looking...no bling factor at all.

Same here, I had a Skunk2 tie bar and had to take it off to put my ASR brace on. Pointless yes, but it would look cool.

Function7 FTW... They're also the lightest (supposedly), so it'd provide less unsprung weight. Not much of a difference, of course, but that could help you justify getting them.

Our EG arms weigh under 2 lbs a side (weight with bushings included) and the EK arms weigh slightly more.
