Default The lowdown on my latest attempt at swapping front brakes on CDM Civic CX

So this is what happened:

I have a Canadian Civic Hatchback CX.
Subject: Front brake swap

Brought back Type R calipers from Japan
Bought 93 Prelude VTEC rotors

With some shaving, the calipers bolt in but they don't sit out far enough to accommodate 11 " rotors. The only way that the rotors sit at the right position inside the caliper is if you design some sort of spacer to sit on the hub. Then, there's the redrilling needed. I'm assuming I need some sort of different fork to enable the caliper to sit farther out too.

So the problems are:

- the caliper doesn't sit out far enough from the hub.
- you need a spacer to offset the caliper hub.

I've heard of the kit that Fastbrakes makes for this. Does anybody have any info on it? I've already got the calipers and rotors so I don't want to repurchase everything. Does anybody know what they supply with their kit to adapt everything because they don't mention anything about needing a new fork. They just advertise that you get some sort of adapters with it. I would love to see some pics of those.

that's why people go thru all the trouble of the five lug swap. Because then you just bolt everything on and it all fits. I think you could try getting GSR knuckles. Don't know how that fit is. Do a search as there is a lot of info on this.

fastbrakes does make spacers.

So you have a 4X114.3mm lug pattern? And you're having trouble bolting the calipers on a 11.1" rotor? Hop on in the boat, a whole bunch of other guys are having the same problem: click here: https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=514109

No I have 4X100 bolt pattern. Stock Canadian Civic CX 92 Setup. Original knuckle. I need to know:

- Do I have no choice but to swap knuckle?
- Or, can I buy a caliper relocating kit, from say, Fastbrakes, that will fix that situation. Or does their kit assume you have swapped knuckles?
