low voltage, car won't start, no power, help please.
My car is not wanting to start. I think the main relay is good, there are no blown fuses. I was installing power windows yesterday, the windows worked fine when i was installing them. they went up and went down while i had the ignition switch in the acc2 position. I go to start the car and i get a bunch of clicking noise, the cluster lights flashed and no power. I had the battery checked and its good. The alarm keeps making a low chirp chirp chirp noise from the siren speaker, but not the loud siren noise. I get some power (as read from my autometer volt meter, about 10-12v) but when I try to do anything like turn on the headlights, the voltage drops to below 8 (which is the lowest reading on the gauge) And i get the same low reading when i turn the key to acc2. It won't turn over. I don't know if i fried the ecu when i tried to start it yesterday, but i didn't have any blown fuses, except one 30amp fuse from the alarm that was fried, but i since replaced it. Anything else that i can check???? any help or insight will be hugely appreciated.

more info...... when i push the hazard button the alarm goes off, but when i turn off the hazard button, the alarm just goes to a low chirp chirp chirp noise. does this mean the alarm brain is toast? when i hear the alarm going off, i hear clicking coming from the main relay.

check the battery again. 10 with it not even being turned on seems kinda low to me. all the symptoms say dead battery. just my two cents.

when i put the key to position acc2, after about 5 seconds the main relay keeps clicking and i don't hear the fuel pump priming.

Your battery is owned.
It's supposed to be at ~13v
Change the battery. The queer buzzing noise is the buzzer trying to buzz at not full power, and the clicking noise is the starter trying to turn the motor over with not full power - it's the battery.
You can try jumping it and driving it for 20 minutes or so to see if the alternator will charge the battery (chances are you ran the battery down w/ the doors open (the dome light on and such)) and it just needs to be charged back up. If that doesn't do it your battery's shot (wont' hold a charge) and you need a new one.
For now you can start your car by pushing it and popping the clutch (if it's a manual transmission) or jumping it.
If you jump it with a booster pack don't worry about the next part.
If you're jumping it with a car do positive to positive, negative of the jumping car to a GROUND on the car being jumped. If you hook it to the negative terminal there's a chance the battery can charge up and backfeed the jumper cables owning the alternator on the car jumping it.

Yeah, like I said, you have to pay attention to the small things like the beeper not buzzing right and the clicking of the starter before jumping into more advanced things like the main relay.
Not right pitch chirp usually means it isn't getting correct voltage, clicking starter usually means the same .
