low popularity - alternator Q's
OK, i posted in the audio/security forum... their post count is WAY lower then ours here, so i'm reposting here.
I have a 98 ITR (B18C5), I believe the stock alternator puts out 90 amps. Well it has gone bad. I have the option of getting a 00 ITR alternator, what amps does that put out? Also, is there somewhere I can call or order a higher output from, like 120 amps?
Help is urgent, thanks.

Re: low popularity - alternator Q's (citrEK)
unless you're gonna be running more than 3 amps, you don't really need a higher output alternator, besides, there's no difference between the 98 and 00 ITR alternators, the're the same as the 99 Si's if you're wondering.. 90 amps is 90 amps.. it's not like a GSR sway bar (17mm) from an ITR (22mm).

Re: low popularity - alternator Q's (redlinetuning)
i know amperage is amperage, just wondering if they changed from 98-00, odd things do happen. anyways, thanks for the reply, i only have 1 amp powering 2 10" type R DVC 4-ohm, but i'm removing one of the subs, and getting a smaller amp. thanks again.
