Low idle then death issue
93 Civic Si Manual.
Before rebuild engine decides to die. Loss of power and bogging, but no low idle
Find out that the head blew like 2 valves in 2 different cylinders.
Replace the entire engine, newer head.
Car now boggs and does not idle, it dies
Intake is from previous engine, and is it possible that the IACV went when I changed the engine and cleaned the IACV????
Thanks.
Also no CEL, good ECU.

Re: Low idle then death issue
It does have a FITV, but does not misfire. It just rev horribly. I cleaned the FITV when I took the Intake off, and I cleaned the IACV. Could they possibly be bad? Also will a D15Z1 IACV fit on a D16B7 throttle Body?

Naw I got them in the right one. I changed MAP nothing happened. I loosen the IDLE screw and it idles better, yet still there is a loss of power. Could it be a bent valve???

Re: Low idle then death issue
Tried that and the Idle is set correctly. I believe that I have blown the head gasket, because I am eating coolant, and it is overheating after driving it for awhile. although it is not smoking out the exhaust. I hope that changing the head gasket will do the job.
